The Neighbourhood

Dorset Apartments City are located in a 1920's weatherboard-style house, on Peterborough St in central Christchurch. The house, while in the city, is in a quiet residential street and is surrounded by neighbours.

Dorset Apartments St Albans are located in a block of six apartments on Bishop St in St Albans. St Albans is a central, safe and pleasant suburb within close distance to the city, local shopping options, transport links and Bealey Avenue.

We ask that guests respect their privacy, and keep noise to a reasonable level. Tourism is great for the local community, with many businesses benefiting from it, and New Zealanders are generally friendly and supportive of tourism.

Getting Around

Dorset Apartments are in the city centre, so most things are within a short walk, or cycling distance. If you are wishing to experience more of Christchurch, bus connections are good and run at regular intervals.

Cycling through Christchurch comes highly recommended; it’s a great way to see the city and it's environmentally friendly. There are several companies, such as City Cycle Hire, and Adventure Centre, that rent cycles for use in the central city. These can be rented by the hour, half-day or full-day.
