Dorset Apartments have wireless (WiFi) broadband internet access available in all apartments (at both the City and St Albans properties). This is via the fabulous Zenbu hotspot system. It's so easy, just login, create a free account, top up with your credit card, and you're online. And because it's based on the amount of data you use (rather than time online) it's very cheap too - the average cost for a typical Zenbu WiFi user is a mere $1.24 per hour (based average data use of around 12.30MB/hour). So bring your laptop along and enjoy easy internet access during your stay.
If you are travelling with a child, Dorset Apartments has a sleeping cot and high-chair available for your use. There is a small charge of $10 per item, per stay. Just ask when you book your apartment and we will ensure they are placed in your apartment and waiting when you check-in.
In addition, we are pleased to provided rollaway beds should you wish to bring an additional guest along - a small charge of $25 applies for additional guests above the standard occupancy for each apartment. Please ask us and we'll do our best to assist.
Your apartment has a lounge room, with sofas, a TV, DVD player, and artwork. Read the newspaper or your book, and make yourself at home. Please note that the apartments vary in size and some do not have separate dining rooms. Check out our virtual tour - it shows a lounge room in one of the two-bedroom apartments.
Your apartment has either a full-size kitchen (2-bedroom apartments) or a smaller kitchenette (one-bedroom apartments). These are fully equipped with everything you need to whip up a fabulous meal, including an oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, all pots, pans, plates, cutlery, dish cloths, tea towels and glassware. You'll find helpful extras such as herbs, spices and tea and coffee too.
Your bathroom at Dorset Apartments is spotlessly clean, and comes equipped with all towels and bathmats. All apartments have showers, some have baths. If you require a bath please ask and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Please be aware that the layout of bathrooms varies between the apartments - some have toilets and showers in the same room, and others are separate. Size of bathrooms varies and some of the apartments may have bathroom and laundry facilities in the same room.
Each apartment at Dorset Apartments has the use of its own clothes washing machine. There are clothes drying racks in each apartment, as well as outdoor drying lines available behind the building. If you prefer, all guests also have 24-hour access to the building's laundry room with coin-operated clothes dryers. Please check the blue Welcome booklet in your apartment for the laundry room door code.
The St Albans Apartments share a laundry room - this has free cold water washing machines, and low-priced hot washers and dryers. There are also laundry racks in each apartment if you wish to air clothing. Please check the blue Welcome booklet in your apartment for the laundry room door code.
Each City apartment has parking space for one vehicle. These will either be directly in front of or behind the Dorset Apartments building. Please note that some car parks are down a long driveway and are not suitable for campervans and high vehicles. Please let reception know when you book if you are driving a large or high vehicle.
Your park will be clearly marked with your apartment number, and instructions will be proved when you book your stay.
Each St Albans apartment has a garage carpark. These are the back of the apartment block. Please park in the numbered garage that matches your apartment number. Garages are not lockable. If you have visitors during your stay, they may park along the fence opposite the garage parks. Please note visitor cars may not stay on the property overnight.
